Treatments
Care begins with consultation, not treatment selection. Patients are invited to book an online or face-to-face consultation, where the most appropriate options are considered and recommended clinically, removing the expectation that you should know which treatment is right for you.
Bespoke Smile Design
Smile design at The Sana Clinic is not a fixed cosmetic package. Dr Xenia begins with a detailed assessment of your teeth, gums, bite, smile dynamics and facial proportions, then develops a staged plan using only the treatments that are clinically appropriate. The aim is a natural, coherent result that preserves individual character rather than creating a standardised ‘perfect smile’.
Comprehensive dental and aesthetic assessment, including oral health, bite, tooth position, gum display, proportions, existing restorations and your priorities. Records or imaging may be recommended where clinically indicated.
Consultation, assessment, discussion of options and written treatment plan.
*Subject to consultationSmile design is a structured planning process that considers dental health, tooth position, shape, colour, gums, bite and facial proportions before recommending treatment.
No. A smile plan may involve no treatment, alignment, whitening, bonding, restorative care or veneers depending on your needs. Veneers are never assumed at the outset.
Yes. The Sana Clinic prioritises proportion, preservation of tooth structure and individual character rather than a uniform or overly bright cosmetic result.
The timeline depends on the treatment sequence. Simple changes may be completed quickly, while alignment or restorative work may require a staged plan over several months.
The dental aesthetics consultation is £95 and is redeemable against treatment. Full treatment costs are confirmed in writing after assessment.
Where appropriate, Dr Xenia’s training in both dentistry and aesthetic medicine allows the smile and wider facial proportions to be considered together while keeping each treatment clinically justified. Dr Sana and Dr Xenia can collaborate on a coordinated dental and facial aesthetics plan, with each procedure carefully sequenced and timed to achieve a balanced, natural result.
Clear Aligner Programme
Clear aligners use a planned sequence of removable trays to move teeth gradually. At The Sana Clinic, treatment begins with a full dental assessment rather than an online scan alone, so tooth health, gums, bite and realistic movement can be considered before treatment starts. Reviews are built into the programme, with retention planned from the beginning to help protect the result.
Dental examination, periodontal health, bite, tooth movement goals and suitability for aligner treatment. Digital records and radiographs may be required before the final plan is approved.
Assessment, digital planning, full course of aligners, scheduled clinical reviews and professional teeth whitening
*Subject to consultationClear aligners are custom-made removable trays worn in sequence to move teeth gradually according to a dentist-led treatment plan.
Suitability depends on your teeth, gums, bite and the complexity of movement required. A full clinical assessment is needed before treatment can be recommended.
Treatment length varies with complexity and how consistently the aligners are worn. Your estimated timeline is confirmed after records and digital planning.
Most patients experience pressure or mild tenderness when a new aligner is fitted. This usually settles as the teeth adapt.
Yes. Retention is essential after orthodontic tooth movement because teeth can relapse. Your long-term retainer plan is discussed before treatment begins.
The bespoke clear aligner programme starts from £4,250. Final fees depend on clinical complexity and are confirmed in your written treatment plan before you proceed.
Teeth Whitening
Professional teeth whitening can lighten natural tooth colour and reduce staining caused by ageing, food, drinks and smoking. Treatment is prescribed only after Dr Xenia has assessed the teeth and gums, allowing sensitivity, restorations and the type of discolouration to be considered before whitening begins. The aim is a brighter smile that remains appropriate to your complexion and existing dental work.
Includes: Dental examination to confirm the teeth and gums are healthy, identify restorations that will not whiten and assess the cause of discolouration before treatment is prescribed.
Dental assessment, prescribed whitening protocol, guidance, aftercare and review as appropriate.
Dentist-supervised whitening is considered the safest route because your teeth and gums are examined first and the whitening protocol is prescribed for you.
hitening is not permanent. Results can last for years, but coffee, tea, red wine, smoking and natural ageing can gradually darken the teeth again.
Temporary sensitivity can occur, particularly during treatment. Your dentist can adapt the protocol and provide guidance if sensitivity develops.
No. Whitening changes the colour of natural teeth but does not lighten crowns, veneers, implants or composite restorations, so existing dental work is considered during planning.
Professional teeth whitening at The Sana Clinic is £499, following a dental assessment to confirm suitability.
The response varies between patients and depends on the starting shade and type of staining. The aim is a natural, refined improvement rather than an artificial shade target.
Composite Bonding
Composite bonding uses tooth-coloured resin to make selective changes to tooth shape, edges, proportions or small spaces. Dr Xenia plans bonding in the context of the whole smile and bite, using it only where it can improve harmony without unnecessary removal of healthy tooth structure. In some patients, alignment or whitening may be recommended first to create a more conservative final result.
Includes: Assessment of oral health, bite, tooth position, enamel, existing restorations and the proposed shape changes. Photographs or digital planning may be used for more complex cases.
Assessment, shade and shape planning, bonding, finishing, polishing and aftercare.
Composite bonding uses tooth-coloured resin to refine tooth shape, repair small chips, close selected spaces or improve proportions without using a laboratory-made restoration.
Bonding can often be additive and require little or no removal of healthy enamel, although the exact preparation depends on the tooth and clinical situation.
Composite bonding can last for several years, but it may chip, wear or stain over time. Longevity depends on bite, habits, oral hygiene and maintenance.
Composite resin can pick up surface staining over time. Regular hygiene, polishing and sensible dietary habits can help maintain the finish.
Sometimes. Alignment or whitening first can reduce the amount of bonding required and create a more conservative result. This is assessed during smile planning.
Composite bonding at The Sana Clinic starts from £399 per tooth. The final number of teeth and full fee are confirmed after clinical assessment and planning.
Retainers
Teeth can move after orthodontic treatment, which is why retention is an essential part of maintaining alignment. Custom removable retainers are made to fit your teeth closely and are worn according to an individual schedule. Dr Xenia will review fit, wear and any signs of movement, with replacement recommended when a retainer becomes damaged, distorted or no longer fits correctly.

*Subject to consultationAssessment, records, two custom removable retainers and fitting guidance.
Long-term retention is usually recommended because teeth can move throughout life. Your dentist will advise how often to wear your retainers.
Teeth can gradually shift or relapse. If your retainer feels tight or no longer fits, arrange a review rather than forcing it into place.
There is no fixed interval. Replacement is recommended when a retainer becomes worn, cracked, distorted, unhygienic or no longer fits accurately.
Clean it gently using the method advised by your dentist and avoid very hot water, which can distort some retainer materials.
Removable retainers are £225 per arch or £400 for both arches, following an assessment of tooth position and fit.
You can still book a retention assessment. Dr Xenia can review your current tooth position and existing retainers before advising whether replacements are appropriate.
