Treatments
Care begins with consultation, not treatment selection. Patients are invited to book an online or face-to-face consultation, where the most appropriate options are considered and recommended clinically, removing the expectation that you should know which treatment is right for you.
Gender-Affirming Care
This is healthcare. For our patients the changes made here are not cosmetic, they are about being recognised, in the mirror and by other people, as who you already are. There is no single masculine or feminine face, so we begin by understanding what those words mean to you and plan around your anatomy rather than a beauty standard that may not suit you. This is a highly specialised service that takes time, and treatment is planned with you across more than one appointment.
For trans, non binary and gender diverse adults seeking facial treatment planned around their own image of themselves. Suitability and approach are agreed together at consultation.
Dr Sana offers complimentary face-to-face consultations for this service.
Flexible payment options are available specifically for gender-affirming care, as part of our commitment to reducing financial barriers and making this care accessible to more patients.
Targeted treatment of a specific feature or limited area
*Subject to consultationMulti-area treatment requiring broader structural refinement
*Subject to consultationExtensive, multi-area treatment, potentially staged over several appointments
*Subject to consultationGender-affirming facial care uses non-surgical treatments to help your appearance feel more aligned with your identity and personal goals. We are proud to be one of the few doctor-led clinics in London to explicitly offer dedicated gender-affirming aesthetic care, delivered within a medical setting with safety, discretion and individual choice at its centre.
This is a highly collaborative process. Considerable time is dedicated to understanding your goals, anatomy, heritage, identity and the degree of change that feels right for you. Dr Sana’s role is not to decide what you should look like, but to understand what you want to achieve and determine how it can be delivered as safely, precisely and realistically as possible.
There is no standard treatment or predetermined masculine or feminine ideal. Depending on your goals and anatomy, a plan may incorporate dermal filler, botulinum toxin, regenerative treatments or other appropriate therapies, often across several carefully planned stages. Treatment is selected following consultation rather than by asking you to choose procedures yourself.
For gender-affirming treatment involving dissolvable hyaluronic acid filler, Dr Sana provides an additional patient assurance. If the outcome does not align with the agreed treatment goals and dissolving is clinically appropriate, The Sana Clinic will cover the cost of dissolving. We do not believe you should incur an additional expense to reverse a result that does not feel right for you.
Pricing is based on clinical scope rather than gender, treatment labels or simply the volume of product used. Following consultation, you receive a personalised written plan outlining the proposed treatment, intended outcomes, full costs, expected longevity and any appropriate maintenance. Flexible payment options are available specifically for gender-affirming care as part of our commitment to reducing financial barriers to access.
No. You are not expected to define yourself through a treatment category or know which procedures you need. We explore the individual features you would like to soften, strengthen, restore, preserve or rebalance, then develop a treatment plan around your own vision rather than imposing conventional standards of gender or beauty.
Yes, in many cases. A thorough medical consultation considers your hormone therapy alongside your wider health and treatment goals. Hormonal changes can influence factors such as skin quality and oil production, hair growth or loss, and facial fat distribution, all of which may affect treatment planning. This is one reason gender-affirming care should be approached clinically, with your wider medical context considered rather than treating individual features in isolation.
Yes. Consultation does not create an obligation to proceed. Dr Sana will recommend no treatment where intervention is unlikely to benefit you, and will advise when a surgical approach may offer a safer, more appropriate or more effective outcome. The priority is to give you an informed clinical recommendation, even when that recommendation is not to treat.
Weight Management Programme
Our medical weight management programme is designed to support effective weight loss while planning from the outset for life beyond medication. Dr Sana combines medical assessment, appropriate prescription treatment and regular review with access to our in-house personal trainers, dietitian, psychologist and dentist, helping patients establish sustainable nutrition, movement and behavioural habits rather than relying on medication long term. Where appropriate, medical aesthetics treatments can also be incorporated to address skin laxity and facial or body volume changes associated with weight loss.
Book a ConsultationDoctor consultation, clinical assessment and written plan. Investigation costs are confirmed clearly before proceeding.
*Subject to consultationRegular review, monitoring, plan adjustment and clinical oversight. Full inclusions are confirmed in writing before starting.
*Subject to consultationThe programme is for adults seeking medically supervised weight management. Suitability is determined after assessment of health, weight-related risk and previous approaches.
No. Treatment is a clinical decision made after reviewing your medical history, investigations, goals and contraindications.
Appropriate baseline investigations may be recommended to understand your health and support safe treatment planning.
Patients on the ongoing programme are reviewed in person each month so progress, side effects and the wider plan can be reassessed.
Side effects are reviewed clinically and the plan is adjusted where needed. You have clear aftercare guidance and access to clinical support.
Yes. The programme includes realistic discussion of treatment duration, long-term weight maintenance and the support needed beyond initial weight loss.
Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
Hyperhidrosis is sweating beyond what is needed for temperature control and can significantly affect work, clothing and daily confidence. We assess the pattern, severity and possible medical causes first. Where primary focal hyperhidrosis is confirmed and simpler measures have not been sufficient, treatment can reduce sweat production in the affected area for several months.
Clinical assessment, treatment where appropriate, written aftercare and review.
*Subject to consultationHyperhidrosis is excessive sweating that is out of proportion to heat, activity or the body’s normal need for temperature control.
Excessive sweating can occasionally be secondary to another condition or medication, so the pattern and possible causes are reviewed before treatment.
The clinic assesses focal hyperhidrosis affecting the underarms and palms. Suitability is confirmed at consultation.
Many patients notice a reduction within several days, with the full effect developing over approximately 2 weeks.
A typical response lasts around 4-6 months, although duration varies.
Downtime is usually minimal. Temporary tenderness or bruising can occur, and treatment of the palms carries specific risks that are discussed at consultation.
Warts and Verrucae
Warts and verrucae are common benign viral lesions that can persist despite home treatment. Following in-person examination, suitable lesions can be treated with controlled cryosurgery to destroy affected tissue while healthy skin heals beneath. Some lesions require more than one session. Pigmented, changing or uncertain lesions are not frozen; excision, histology or specialist referral may be advised instead.
Face-to-face assessment, cryosurgery, written aftercare and review where required.
Yes. The lesion must be examined face to face before cryosurgery is offered. This can be done within the same consultation if deemed appropriate.
Pigmented, changing or uncertain lesions are not frozen because tissue may need to be preserved for diagnosis. A different pathway may be recommended.
Some warts and verrucae clear after one treatment, while others require repeat sessions.
The area may blister, crust or scab before healing. Written wound-care guidance is provided immediately.
A brief stinging or burning sensation is common during treatment, followed by temporary tenderness.
Yes. Recurrence is possible because the underlying viral infection can persist even after a lesion has cleared.
Surgical Excision of Skin Lesions
When a skin lesion should be removed rather than destroyed, Dr Sana performs surgical excision with careful attention to diagnosis, wound closure and scar placement. Every specimen is sent for histological analysis as standard, with results communicated directly. Histology, aftercare and clinically appropriate review are included, so essential elements of safe care are never treated as optional extras.
Book a ConsultationProcedure, histology, wound care, results communication, aftercare and review.
*Subject to consultationHistology confirms what the removed tissue was and forms part of safe medical care when a lesion is excised.
Yes. Histological analysis is included as standard and is not added later as an optional extra.
Every surgical excision creates a scar. The technique and closure are planned to achieve the best clinically appropriate result for the site.
Your histology result is communicated directly to you. If specialist attention is required, referral is arranged promptly.
Yes. Written wound-care instructions and clinically appropriate follow-up are included as part of the treatment journey.
If the examination suggests that specialist assessment is more appropriate, Dr Sana will recommend referral rather than proceeding in clinic.
Joint Injections
Joint pain can arise from osteoarthritis, injury and other conditions, so the right treatment depends on the diagnosis rather than the symptom alone. Dr Sana assesses the joint, relevant medical history and previous treatment before discussing options. Where an injection is clinically appropriate, the expected benefit, limitations and alternatives are explained clearly. Imaging or specialist referral may be recommended where needed.
Book a ConsultationClinical assessment, written plan, treatment where appropriate, aftercare and review.
Joint pain has many causes. Examination and review of the diagnosis help determine whether an injection is appropriate or whether imaging or specialist care is needed first.
No. The treatment option is selected only after consultation and examination.
Sometimes. Existing imaging is reviewed where relevant, and further imaging may be recommended if the diagnosis is uncertain or it would change management.
The specific option depends on the diagnosis, evidence, medical history and contraindications, and is discussed during consultation rather than selected in advance.
Response varies according to the joint, underlying diagnosis and treatment selected. Expected duration is discussed as part of your written plan.
Dr Sana will recommend another pathway, including physiotherapy, imaging or specialist referral, when that is more appropriate.
